Biography
raphael hitzke
A native of France, Raphael Hitzke moved to Sacramento, California in 1999.
In 2005, he directed his first short film “Jacques (Just a little tenderness)” that was shown on the 2005 opening night of the Sacramento French Film Festival. The film received the “Audience Award for Best Short Film.”
He is passionate about films and digital media.
Since 2003, he has been the marketing coordinator and member of the committee for the Sacramento French Film Festival.
In January 2008, he was part of a panel on Mobile TV at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
Food is an important part of his life and films. There have always been references to food in his first 2 short films.
With “Vive La Food”, his first documentary, he took his love for food to the next level by going behind the scenes with two French chefs.
The film won the “Best of Best Film Award” at the Tucson Slow Food & Film Festival.
